Hi Gregg,

We have similar specs (I have 1 GB of RAM, 512MB of which is set aside for Virtual PC). XP was really slow to the point of unusable with Domino Designer but when I set the background pattern as a plain color and turned off all the special text effects it became good enough to use. Not a speed demon but it's not really a bit deal with Domino Designer. The keyboard mappings are my main beef.

If you just get Virtual PC and install your own Microsoft OS, I'd recommend Win2K as it's less of a resource-hog.

FYI...MS is rumoured to be releasing a Virtual PC revision in the 1st quarter...I'd guess better performance and definitely G5 support.
